Now Offering Adobe Connect Pro Integrated with InterCall Audio Conferencing
December 8, 2009 @ 09:33 AM | By Dan Uhlmeyer

AdobeConnectPro Today we announced a strategic, global reseller/distribution agreement with Adobe Systems Incorporated (Nasdaq: ADBE) that will allow InterCall to sell a complete, fully-integrated Adobe® Acrobat® Connect™ Pro web conferencing solution to our customers. The new InterCall/Adobe offering is now available in North America and will be offered globally in early 2010.

With Connect Pro, you can securely support dynamic online meetings, training and events. And since 98% of Internet-connected computers worldwide already have the Adobe Flash® Player runtime installed, your audience can connect instantly with no downloads required.

What’s really great about this offering is that we have fully integrated our audio conferencing within the platform, allowing customers to manage the audio portion of their meeting from within the Connect Pro interface, providing a truly seamless user experience. This enhancement will be made available to current Adobe customers with the release of the new 7.5 version of Adobe Acrobat Connect Pro.

For more information, and to read quotes from Kathleen Finato, InterCall’s senior vice president of marketing and business development, and Arun Anantharaman, vice president, Connect Pro at Adobe, check out the official press release.

 Secure Audio Conferencing

Secure Audio Conferencing refers to conferencing
which makes use of encrypted audio. The main advantage
being that such conferences are immune from evesdropping.
Secure conferencing is typically used by heads of states,
battlefield commanders, homeland security personnel, Financial
regulators etc - anyone whose communication
needs to be kept secure.

Audio Conferencing Solution

Connect Pro seems great but how it is different from other products which are being offered by other vendors.

conference software

isn't adobes products expensive? I totaly second the above comment. There is so much on offer right now in the world of video conferencing. What makes this stand out. Any chance of further feedback by the article creator?

Thanks for your comments. I've taken over as product manager for Adobe Connect, so here are my thoughts.

Of course, the single, largest differentiator is that Adobe Connect is based on Adobe Flash technology. Adobe Flash Player software is already installed on virtually all Internet-connected computers, making it unnecessary for your attendees to download anything in order to attend. Further, Adobe Connect’s breadth of service allows everything from day-to-day meetings, online classes and programs for eLearning and event management for webinars all in one package. If you need even more from the Adobe offering, an extensive network of integrators and developers have forums for API development to provide easy integration and expansion upon the core product, making Adobe as close to “open source” as possible.

It’s tough to comment on the cost specifically because each pricing scenario is unique. InterCall and Adobe continually work to bring hosted service to our clients at reasonable costs that work with each individual organization’s budget. Your InterCall meeting consultant can discuss pricing further. You can get in touch at 800.341.2447 or send us an email.
